Making Paper Come to Life: week 3

This week I decided to pick a more challenging figure. I used the book "Origami", by Anne Akers Johnson, which has level paced origami that you can use to challenge yourself.

I decided to try making a star box which was really cool. I wanted to make this box so that way I can keep small office supplies in it and I also thought it was a good way to transition into a harder paper product. I chose to use some paper with a pattern to it and it was really nice paper to work with for this figure specifically.

I really struggled with this figure but it was worth it in the end! It did take me a few tries but I finally ended up with the result I was hoping for. I feel like I have gained more experience with paper folding because of this figure imparticular.

I decided to make an infographic, that is attached below, using the site called infogram to show my process so my audience can understand the step by step process that I needed to follow. Feel free to try and make one of your own based off of my infographic! It is perfect for holding thumbtacks and paper clips.
